Request Approval on Buying or Selling Treasury Shares

Companies listed at Qatar Financial Market Authority (QFMA) may submit a request online to get QFMA's approval on purchasing a percentage of its shares through the market, and to notify QFMA of its decision to sell its shares purchased through the market.
Online Instructions
- Login through clicking on the lock sign in the left side at the top of the information page.
- Fill out the mandatory fields in the online application form, and attach the following required documents:
- Copy of the market notification of the Board's decision to buy/sell treasury shares immediately upon the decision’s issuance
- Approval request for buying/selling treasury shares (on QFMA form)
- Formal letter signed by the Board Chairman of the company or his/her legal representative and sealed by the company's seal regarding buying/selling treasury shares
- Certificate from the company’s external auditor about his/her opinion on the buying process of treasury shares, and its impact on the liquidity and main activity of the company
- Detailed statement of shares previously bought and purchasing dates, if any (Optional)
- QFMA’s statement of approvals on previous buying transactions, if any (Optional)
- Statement of previous selling notifications, and selling dates, if any (Optional)
- Agree to the conditions of the services, and if the applicant is a bank, it shall comply with Qatar Central Bank instructions in this respect.
- Submit your application.

- Upon completion of the application, an email will be sent to the applicant.
