Community and Religion

Qatar has a strong communal culture centered around the Arab value and Islamic principles.  

Islam is Qatar’s prominent religion and has an official status in the State. Two important holidays are also religious holidays of the Muslim faith; Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.

Arabic is the official language in the State of Qatar. English is widely spoken due to the density of the expatriate community.

People of other faiths are composed entirely of foreign population; they live in harmony and peace within the Qatari society.
